Up for sale is a 1973 Tx750 swingarm.

Hailing all the way from the Netherlands, I bought off a guy from a Facebook group. It’s been in storage since the summer, unused. Paint is a little rough in some places and has a bit of chain rub at the bottom, but nothing beyond cosmetic. Came with bronze bushings installed.

All around good condition. Dimensions are the same as stock xs650 swingarm, but with thicker tubing. Pretty good swap option for those looking for a sturdier swingarm. Price is $250 plus shipping.

Swingarm is still available and in good condition. Was gonna use it, but have decided to go a more experimental route. Can cover the shipping as long as it's in the continental US.

Can you confirm if the 650 Chain guard will bolt up to the tabs on this swingarm? You stated dimensions are the same as 650. Are the tabs the same?

Thanks

Okay, thank you. I have a custom stainless 650 guard I wanted to keep on the bike.

Is this thicker tube wall thickness equivalent to the old school Minton brace style you see on 650 swingers or is that approach more effective in ultimately reducing flex?

Not to kill potential interest on you post. I like the cleaner look of the 750 swingarm over the brace and want to retain my center stand for maintenance.

From my understanding, the diameter of the arm tubes are about 1/4" thicker than the Xs650. Usually makes for a pretty easy upgrade one can do without requiring any cutting/grinding/welding to the frame or swingarm. The thicker construction should offset any flex you'd usually find on the stock swingarm, though I'm not entirely certain how comparable it is to a brace.

I read a study somewhere that wall thickness is a rather small factor in tube rigiidity. Yes it is an improvement, just how much?

It is probably logarithmic function to stiffness. My relaxed (timid?) Pace might not notice the difference.
I believe the weak point in the XS650 is the frame at the swingarm pivot. The TX750 swingarm looks great, but the untrained eye won’t ever notice it. The TX750 frame is firmly connected across that area.
