You kin to Festus?:jk: I'll try to help if I can stay awake....

Yeah, so that appears to be '77 - points ignition, Type B alternator & regulator charging system - stuff; with a PAMCO electronic ignition and dual coil.

I'll fetch ya a diagram to wire the ignition to the battery to get it sparking (wiring and charging should be redone)

A pamco or mike's iggy
Here's a very simple how it's wired.
Pamco-1.jpg
those ignitions can be fried with careless handling, leaving them powered when the motors not running, or excessive voltage.

Ok, so just "hot wire" it - as above - and run a "total loss" system off the battery to power ignition. No need to worry about the charging system to just see if it runs.

Basic wiring diagrams and more about charging system here in the Tech Section under Electrics

Other parts are stock rectifier and mechanical regulator wired together with one of the super simple "chopper" wiring harnesses.
Until you take a pic we'll assume the stock alternator still lives on the LH side of the crank?

Wow you guys are great can you help with the charging system wiring if I can get away without replacing right now it allows more money to other stuff from tc bros

Also why so many fuel lines ? And assume the y shape thing is a breather ?? I am definitely not taking credit for that kick stand it's gotta go I'm mainly going to use the bike for a "display" for my custom paint business so not looking to go crazy but wanna be able to ride it

If you look at photo can see the wires the are not hooked to anything I'm assuming red with fuse is battery but not sure about the other 4 -5 thank you

Don't sue me but;
Yes, Red battery
brown is hot after the on off switch
black is ground to frame, battery, and engine.
Tape off the short yellow.

An "early" alternator, top brush is grounded through it's screws and the black wire
Voltage regulator supplies +12 to bottom brush.

So big lug on rectifier to battery ?? And what about the blue one closer to the engine? Thank you guys all for all of the help
