I dont think I have ever seen anyone do that to a bike. I guess its better for the environment

OMg...Why would anyone bother with this?
I rode a diesel - poered Enfield once , it was so slow it was positively dangerous..
0-50 in 3 minutes..You could overtake a tortoise if you had a clear roasd & a 2-mile runup!
