new idea on headlight kill for kick only. pete where are ye'?

I have mine wired through the neutral relay so it doesnt turn on the headlight until I put in gear. This way sucks massively. I would rather use the same relay and have it wired with the "trigger" power coming off the armature or something like that. Hoping to keep the headlight off until...

ShitFire does the Pancho and got me home!

wooot! It did great! www.PanchoRun.com average speed on straights was 70-75, main group was a lot faster but I didnt want to spin it up that high for such long distances, so we kept it happy, I ran valvoline 60 wt and the motor was a "1 kick" hot or cold the whole trip, averaged 53 mpg at...

Hey! valvoline racing 50 wt works wonder for your clutch

mine was slipping no matter how I adjusted it, slipped under hard acceleration towards the top end of rpm scale when it would toss down the whoppin' 50 ponies, anyways, changed from a 20w50 to a straight valvoline 50wt. Its a whole different world as far as clutch strength goes. Thanks guys!

    Clutch time soon

okies, although it only has 6k on the odo, the clutch isnt very happy and no amount of adjustment seems to help it. sooooo, that being said, what would you recommend for an affordable clutch? I'm not racing it or even riding it hard, just a dependable clutch, I am running an 18 / 30 gear combo...

The rundown. 81 xs 650, wiring totally removed and redone with only headlight (wired through relay and neutral switch) and tailight. No E start and a UB1250 5amp hr battery. Wiring is a breeze to me and everything is connected as should be. the problem is: I think its overcharging at high...

Its done for now! I introduce "Shitfire" to the masses!

81 xs w/ 6k original garage kept miles, I cut it in half, installed an air ride off of a ZX-6, extended the swingarm axle location back 3" and up 1", my own version of 2 into 1 pipes and just a whole bunch of other small miscellaneous crap. When I sit on it, with the air I have in it now, it...

    Neutral switch and headlight revisited

ok, I am doing the wiring harness from scratch, its pretty easy stuff. The only issue is wiring the neutral switch to turn the headlight on. I have done the search and read every thread and wired as supposed to, but it only comes on in neutral and not in gear. I would rather use the neutral...
