Will post some up after I get back from working over the weekend. Off to fit some race car tyres.
If you haven't cleaned out the tank and (at minimum) dropped the float bowls and looked, then I wouldn't fire it up. If the carbs are dirty, all than junk is gonna get sucked up into all the jets and passageways, makin' for a right mess inside the carbs. That's just gonna make it that much harder to get 'em clean when you eventually do take 'em apart to clean 'em.I know it may be a bad idea. But ill probably attempt to fire it up tomorrow for the first time. The oil seems decent still thats in it. But probably aint. Idk. Just want to here it run before i start taking it apart. I was told to run a little 2 stroke gas through it to lube the top up a little quicker? Seem like a bad idea? Wish me luck.
For any engine that’s been sitting for a long time, I add a couple of tablespoons of oil into the spark plug holes and turn the engine over a couple of times to lube up the bores / rings.Just got the battery acid added to the battery. Got 6 more plugs (total of 10 now). (Got a spot that has 19 more supposedly) but think i may be good until i switch the caps. Battery has to charge for so many hrs. I know it may be a bad idea. I second the motion. Don't start it until the carburetor and fuel tank are clean. If you haven't cleaned out the tank and (at minimum) dropped the float bowls and looked, then I wouldn't fire it up. All runnin' 2stroke oil in the gas is gonna do is foul the plugs easier. It ain't gonna help lube the top end.
Float bowls will be coming off first thing in the morning. But we both know there Perfect and ready to run, right.I second the motion. Don't start it until the carburetor and fuel tank are clean.
The gauge lights up and it clicks. Thats all shes gotJust plugged the battery into it to see if it would even run power. And get nothing but a click when i turn the key?
Tail light is on. No neutral light but that gauge isnt lighting up at all. Definitely in neutral.Neutral light on? Taillight? Try bumping the starter, see if the motor tries to spin it?
That's the flasher. Is it a continuous clicking... or just when you turn it on?Clicking sound is coming from here i believe?
