Tuesday, and this morning we have solid blue sky, not a cloud in sight. Yesterday was dry, sunny and windy - strong, fresh breeze blowing all day. But today, the breeze has gone and - whisper it - we have warm weather. This afternoon, might go to 22°C, that's about 71°F.
And the weather people say high pressure will remain in charge for the rest of the week. Happy days.

According to the weather guys, today will probably be the hottest of the year in Britain, 33°C expected in Southern England. This has already been the hottest September week on record, past five days all over 30°C.
Indeed, according to the meteorologists, this year has been the hottest for 120,000 years worldwide - high sea temps, wild fires, droughts, floods. Not too sure how they worked that out though . . .
Should expect I'll be out on two wheels at some point today.

Gray and drizzly. Again. It was that way the whole time I was in Michigan and it's forecast to be that way all week here, with Hurricane Lee scheduled to impact our weather for the weekend.
S'okay tho, if it's gray and drizzly there won't be any frost and I can probably get those last few tomatoes ripened and out of the garden.

A bit off topic but our local weather Channel, The Weather Network was hacked about 10 days ago and mobile service is still down. All the Cyber attacks going on in the world - WTF is going on?!
I get (but don’t condone) why the criminals would hack Vegas for ransom but come on, a weather channnel? I’ve switched over to Weather.com but don’t think it’s as user friendly as The Weather Network.
Right now is perfect fall weather at 19C.

We're battening down for storm Agnes. Uhm, not a storm of the magnitude of the hurricanes experienced in other parts of the world but they are talking about 80mph winds, several inches of rain and some disruption.
However, the warnings are easing back on how bad it's gonna be once Agnes reaches land. Storm is coming in from the West, the prevailing direction.
We live in the East and in the lee of high ground so most times the weather here doesn't live up to the warnings. The exception to that was Arwen in 2021, when the wind direction was from the North - an unusual direction for a gale, hundreds of thousands of trees were bought down and whole villages were cut off by road. Some folks lost their electricity for more than a week back then. Main impact was NE Scotland, the East coast and NE England.
But this time, we'll make sure there's not too much lying around outside to get caught by the wind, shut the storm door, and settle down for a noisy night.

Aging definitely but not so fine. Still happy however. Time, rugby and alcohol consumption take their toll. I may be older and fatter, a little less agile; but the mind stays strong (when you are married anyhow
