Seller's Description​

1972 Yamaha XS2 · Driven 5,000 miles 1972 Yamaha XS2 650 project bike. Last registered in 1987. Clean and clear Nebraska title. Engine kicks over with strong compression. Has been sitting for many years. I have not tried to start it or check for spark. Gas tank has been lined with a red epoxy coating as seen in pictures. It appears that fuel has not been put in the tank since this was done. Missing the front brake master cylinder assembly and original handlebars are slightly bent on the right side. Original exhaust is in excellent condition and unaltered. Very clean and solid machine. Located in Central Nebraska. Pick up and shipping arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer. I will be able to assist with loading.

I had three XS400s at one time. I got one of them running and rode it around a bit. Not a bad bike in my book. I borrowed some 30mm mikunis from a friend's CB350 project and ran them on the XS400 and it was a pretty strong runner. When I think about it, I've had a lot of fun tinkering with and riding some pretty ragged old bikes.
