I'm definitely not surprised, as that was a steal for that bike. I know that if it was anywhere near me, I would have found the $1500 with a quickness!!

The mileage has to be a mistake. Maybe doesn’t know due to replaced odometer?

It’s close though me. Would be another long term project for me. Almost done with my ‘79.

Other than compression what would you look for?

I should walk away. Got too many other projects.

With all these XS650s hitting the market with no title, and Vermont closing their loophole, I have a feeling there are going to be a bunch of good engines, carb sets, fuel tanks, and gauge clusters showing up on Ebay.

I`ve got about 75 XS`s on my watch list. Everything under $500 seems to sell in a few hrs. Choppers and hardtails not so much. Lots of people buying projects.

I just sold two titled but rough looking project XS-650s on facebook for $800 for the pair.

One was an 80 with spokes and an 81 with mags and rear drum brake.

I bought them 10 years ago and got tired of them taking up space, so I'll let someone else make something out of them.
