I removed the clutch side cover to polish it and noticed a spring at the bottom of the case. One of the ends had broken. The spring is pictured at the top right. I searched for the part number on a number of Yamaha parts diagram sites but can not locate it. Can someone identify the spring? I appreciate any help.
Thanks

Actually, there are 2 little springs up in that area, the one you're showing on the shift drum and one on the shift lever .....

They are listed on the parts sites on the "Shifter" diagrams but unfortunately, neither is still available from Yamaha, but MikesXS sells them both.

Thanks 5twin, the front spring is intact. It appears I don't have to remove the clutch basket to put the spring on. Won't you know it, I just ordered parts from MikeXS, now I will have to pay for shipping. Am I correct to assume it's the spring for the shift selector detent arm?

See which one's missing. Yes, the lower one is for the shift selector detent arm.
