I have a 200zx6r front end on my 650 and I'm taking the build in a dual-sport scrambler direction. I want longer travel front forks but I don't want to go through another complete front end swap. There are other enduro type bikes (xr650 honda) with longer travel front forks of the same diameter (46mm). I need to know if I can just swap the stanchions and springs onto the zx6r lowers so that I can keep my triples and brakes.

Thanks,

The lower, piston, and damping rod are a system. Merely going to longer tubes won't work without longer damping rods, and a disproportionate amount of tube will be above the lower and make the front flex considerably if there's too much piston between the lower clamp and the lower slider.
BTW, I believe your forks are Kyaba and the XR wears Showa, so that won't work.
