Have fiddled with resetting the floats on my BS38 carbs. On a XS2. With the carbs off, I know I measure from the inside surface of the carb body. As this is a slim area to get anything in, can I measure from top of the rim around the float bowl if I take that difference into consideration. So my measurement would be the height of the ridge minus the 25 mm hight. By the way,, what is that measurement if anyone want to share.

I was thinking of doing the credit card cut to fit trick or taking 3 nails, as they have a nice point, and making a goalpost out of them. I could hot glue the cross bar at the same height and measure both floats at the same time.

Thoughts or suggestions would be great. Thank you everyone.

I cut up an old inch/metric tape measure for a float gauge. A steel inch metric pocket rule with a cross slide/clip is 1.89 at Menards' Cut it off to fit under the carbs.

Good idea. You can eliminate the angle of observation(5twins has talked about it in several posts) and check both sides at same time.
I used thin sheet metal.
