Does anyone still sell (make) the high ratio primary gear sets for our bikes?
If you don't know what I'm referring to, have a look here.

On the German XS650 forum, there is a Swiss guy called Steffi who runs a series of 32/69 teeth (20% clutch RPM increase) primary gear sets every now and then.
According to his last post on the subject, he was hoping for availability around last October for the next run. No news after that, he probably has to deal with long delivery times.
Priorities for manufacturing small quantities are never high.

Thanks, I'll have a look.

Miker Vee, Do you know if Steffi has made any more of his reworked electric start throw out gears. I have tried a through the Twinn Inn to get a set but not in stock and shipping is a problem to NZ it is not even in their drop down menu !

Hi Signal,

According to the most recent thread about the throw out gear, a batch of them was delivered to Twins-Inn at around August '21.

This is the article on the Twins-Inn website, I think:
https://www.twins-inn.com/epages/78210236.sf/de_DE/?

I was able to put it in the shopping cart and follow the checkout procedure.
No 'Out of stock' message up to the point where the PayPal transaction would start.
When you get to the form which lets you enter the shipping address, there is a destination country drop down menu there ('Land'), which contains New Zealand (4th entry from bottom).
I entered shipping info for a fictional New Zealand address and it worked.
The next page shows a destination zone, where I chose 'Welt', which should apply to you.

Maybe if this somehow fails to work for you, you can shoot them an e-mail.
Their contact info is on

Hope this is of some use to you.

I haven’t received my gears and the tracking number is invalid, the PayPal invoice was to Carynn McCann for $830 AUD. I have emailed him and hope they’re on the way and he got the tracking number wrong.

Has Ivan got any more in the current batch? I'm running a cfmoto rear wheel with a 18/39t sprocket that is the smallest I can go(not actually from a cfmoto but from a drz since I've got a bracket to offset the sprocket so it lines up)

I was planning to run a 5th gear overdrive hoping to get decent cruising speed, but thinking now maybe primary drive gear is also the way to go. How does it affect the kick start? Thought it would be harder but saw someone say it actually made it easier?
