Was doing some sync screw and mix screw adjustments and heard aleak...its on left side between carb and boot. Gonna replace but in the meantime is it still rideable? Going to replace with jbms'and those vaccum adapters from 650central..because my petcocks don't leak and want to keep them

I hate to use this in the same sentence as XS650 but.... Silicone seal as a band-aid. loosen remove clamp, clean thoroughly with carb cleaner, tooth brush, blow dry, smear RTV on the outside only, replace clamp let it cure overnight. Run and check for leaks with carb cleaner etc. Do NOT run it with an air leak, can you say HOLED PISTON?

Ok thanks for reply...that's what I needed to know if there was any other issues if still running it. Thanks for the tip on ez repair...I think I'll just order new parts and wait. don't wanna mess my baby up. Lol

Also with the jbms' it says gaskets not needed...for my 38's. Anybody run them like that or order the gaskets and use them?
