Spent Saturday afternoon here.....
We are a pretty small city so this isn't a huge show compared to the Plunkett outdoor show which is the biggest in Canada, also in London in June, but hey walking around a custom car and bike show in March up here is pretty cool!
Custom cars, custom bikes, and the (CVMG) Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group of which our esteemed Maxpete is a member had 48 bikes there. Thought I'd post up a few pics here as I know how much we all love pics of anything on wheels. Didn't we spend some time looking at snow blower pics not too long ago? LOL. Man, we need help!
Here is the first thing that greeted me as I walked in.....a pretty bountiful busa.....
Some Yamahas from the Wolfeworx collection, some currently being raced.
Out of the 48 bikes CVMG had there, only 2 XS650's. This one was built 8 years ago by Terry Wolfe
http://wolfeworx.com/ for one of his clients.
And the only other 650....
Ok, now for some of the custom stuff.
I give full props to custom builders for their vision, skills and execution. I guess I'm old school, but I'm not quite sure what this guy was after.
Now this was primarily a car show so now for some cars....eh?
I love this Canadian Graffiti
And ya gotta appreciate this other tastefully done '32 3 window coupe.
A Beautiful 56 Bel Air.
And now.........the pièce de résistance
I chatted for awhile with Mark the builder of this car who's from a small town north of Montreal Quebec.
This build took place over 2 1/2 years. I asked him, "You may not want to answer this question, but, what's the investment into a build like this?" He said, "Well over $300,000." OK.
The parts are shipped to a guy in California and hand engraved with special dedicated die grinders, then shipped back to Canada for chroming.
Probably won't ever see anything quite like this ever again.
Hope you guys enjoy the pics. It was sure fun looking at these.
