Hi all
I have a xs650 79'. She's a bobber. I have pipes with baffles inside. Recently I remove the baffles and she gave me some extra torque and power which I really liked. Of course when I hit 70 miles was choking (meaning some rejet must be done - cars bs38).
I want tokeep that extra power but not the loudness of open pipes. Looking for some shorty mufflers able to do that. I found those at eBay.
Anyone used them or even something similar? Thank you all.

Small mufflers are loud mufflers. My buddy had a set very similar to the ones you linked to. He sold them because they were too loud. No doubt the guy he bought them from did the same, lol.

No question about any muffler will improve performance over an open header pipe. And reduce the noise some. Like they are saying quiet AND good performance means a larger can. These Borlas sound pretty good, still loud but not "tinny". Note the interior picture. good baffle design is an art, most low cost mufflers don't sound good OR make power LOL.
