Mystery wire

Can anyone tell me what these mystery wires are and if anyone knows where they go. I'm lost.

If you have a points ignition it grounds the capacitor. If you have a TCI ignition, then it is left-over vestigial detritus that the engineers forgot to tell the assemblers to eliminate, and is not needed.

IT almost appears to just connect from the head mount to that brace. Which when I took it off it threw me for a loop.

Exactly. The capacitor on points ignitions was tucked under the brace, and the wire grounded it to the head mount.

I have an 81 special with electronic ignition, Definitely no points
