Post pics of your painted motors !!

Trying to decide if I want to do it or not, could ya post pics of your painted motor combos to help me decide.

I am thinking of doing all black, with all 8 covers polished as well as the fin ends.

here you go. the clutch cover is polished now though.

Did you use high temp paint ?

I have 2 methods of thought on getting it done, which did you use ?

1. Polish the fins then paint and use thinner to clean the edges.

2. Paint then use a flap wheel to strip and polish the edges.

Or some other method ?

BTW YOUR MOTOR LOOKS GOOD !!!!

i used engine enamel. high temp. then sanded off the fins. if I did it again, ide polish the fins, then paint, and then wipe off the wet paint from the fins. my fins are rough. i used a too coarse of sanp paper.

It's a Harley piece that I screwed onto the stock side cover.

Made me a stand for mine and got it out of the bike for oil leak fixin and clean and paint.
