Semi gloss engine black
 
Heavily polished top end(started with shop file, ended with 2000 grit wet sanding...ALOT in between), DupliColor hi-temp hi-gloss black cases. Hope you like it. I'll paint the whole thing next time...jeez!:)

Those of you who have the polished fins on the painted engines, what was your processes? Did you use anything to seal the fins after you removed the paint?
 
Painted the engine, sandpaper, elbow grease. :laugh: In hindsight, it probably would have been smarter to polish the fins first. That way you could paint, then run a towel with thinner across the fins. I'm not good at doing things the easy way...

I painted mine the other night since had big emergency at work. Tonight going to attack the fins with a small air powered angle grinder with scotch brite 1/2" dia pads, i will let you know how it goes and post some pics too !
