rectifier has power to metal contanier?

i have a 72 that i'm installing a tc bros elec. box (fake oil bag) seems that the rectifier has power to the outside of it, blows fuse when touchs the elec. box. some thing wrong with it? what do i need to change?? will the nylon screws help this problem?? it seems to me that the rectifier is grounding out to the box. will the regulater do the same? i have some melted wires and need some help

nope shouldn't do that, has a internal short to outer case if it does...
still have the original regulator rectifier setup?

I reccomend the Chrysler reg/Radio Shack rec mods. Mine sure work good on my 75.
