Should I replace my oil pump??

The bike was a none runner when I bought it and there was no sump screen present. I will check the magnet idea to if it aluminium or not. That would be purely academic now as I have stripped and rebuilt the engine. The cam chain guide was heavily worn. Piston 2 was scored and the outlet valve on piston 3 was bent.
 
I vaguely remember seeing some manual where some inspection routine could be found
Measurements taken and so .Dont have time right now to search for it
In my Haynes manual there is description -- measurements to be taken for a check feeler gauge

Also out of memory I don't think a replacement is to expensive.( can be wrong )
