If I go with 520 chain and sprockets, do I need any special spacers or anything? I thought I remembered reading somewhere about some spacers in order to get the correct clearance. Is it just a hardtail thing I'm thinking about? This will be installed on a 75' with a basically stock frame and swingarm.

No. The front sprocket is 3/8 inch thick where it mounts to the shaft. It gets thinner just outside where the nut and washer set. To the 1/4 inch thick where the teeth are. This leaves a ridge between the two thicknesses, this ridge goes out.
The rear sprocket is made 1/4 inch thick all the way across.
Mounting this way lines the sprockets up. Putting the front on backwards puts them out of line unless you put a 1/8 inch spacer between the rear sprocket and hub.
Putting the front on backwards and spacing the rear over will give you 1/8 inch more chain clearance.

Leo, Thanx man! I knew there was something to it. I just couldnt remember what it was. I was thinking of the chain clearance issue, but couldnt remember what I read. Thanks for clearing it up.
