Valve seals

Are the valve seals the same for all xs models,
I bought some before xmas and when I went to fit them they are too small,according to the seller the ones they sent are for 75 models onwards and he reckons the ones for my 72 are different to the later models ,I thought they were all the same ,see photo,
New ones on the right that are too small ,hole diameter about 5 mm

I think you've been sent the wrong part. First, the valve stems are 8mm in diameter. Stretching a seal with a 5mm hole onto it would be a bit much I think. According to the parts diagrams, the seals were the same for all years, as were the valves and valve guides.

Yes that's what I thought,as you can see in the photo there is no way that the smaller ones would fit.
