Wild day yesterday. It's been sunny, hot, dry all week. By afternoon it hit 103°F.
Then the skies turned black. Massive thunderstorms, strong winds, rain.
Temps soon dropped to 73°F.
Now they're predicting cool temps, rain, for this week.
Monsoon season weather. Hanging around Highs of 100F with Hight humidity 50-65%. Us desert rats are not used to this humidity. Got another 6 or 8 weeks or so of it.
Central Texas, Mid-August, the dog days of summer.
Normally windless, hot, dry, daytime temps in the 100s.
Not so.
Currently 68°F. Wet. It never got above 73°F yesterday.
Austin weather guys reporting daytime highs are the lowest since 1960.
Will be much cooler and wetter the rest of the week.
By my reckon, somewhere, somebody is getting more than their fair share of "Global Warming"...
stinking hot here in the South West of England . We are not used to these temperatures at this latitude. Fans and wet flannels wrapped round the head.... and thats at night time !..
Just don't know how you guys manage to function further South. phew
