Wheel bearing help

I usually use a 6" long punch that is thin and not real big in diameter with a good clean flat edge or put a slight slant on it.

Then with hammer in hand you are trying to catch the edge of the bearing down inside the wheel spacer.

Sometimes you can pry the bearing spacer just slightly to one side down at that end you are trying to catch.

Often the punch will slip past, so putting a slight slant to the bottom sometimes helps to grab the edge.

If one side is not working at all, flip the wheel over and try from the other.

Just to be clear, you lay the wheel flat on a hard surface and working from the top you are tapping out the lower bearing until you run out of room to keep taping and then you need to raise the wheel up and support it to finish.

Patience and persistence, you will succeed.
