Wheels/hubs can i use for xs650 special 1982

Is it possible to use any other wheels for my bike?
I want to switch to spokes, but it seems to be hard to find, if you dont have alot of money.
Or could anyone tell me where i can buy the hub

No replies, okay anyway i found out about Omars dirt track wheel kit, have anybody used that and do you have to make any bigger modifications for getting it tight fitted?

Spoke wheels from any other 650 '73 and newer will swap right in. Fronts from several other Yamahas of that era will also swap in (TX750, TX500). TX750 rear is a direct swap, TX500 rear will work with some minor spacing mods.

Okay now i have at least 2 ways to go, your advice is one or ill go for omars wheel kit but in the last named option i cant have those lovely spokes. I need to have a brainstorm and see what i decide, anyway thanx for reply.

You can use the Omar kit on a spoke front. The thing is, you end up with a 19" rear which somewhat limits tire selection. Of course, there's always lacing the hub to an 18" rim instead using custom spokes. This all costs big bucks, hope you're independently wealthy.
