XS Chop Update (updated pics June.26.2011)

Hey,
Thought I'd post some pictures of my chop at its current stage, should be ready for spring

Just finished mounting my biltwell seat hinge and fabbing up my seat shock set-up.

The last pic just has the elec. and bat box mocked up, wont be mounted there.

Also, I mocked up the keihins, what way are the manifolds supposed to go? :wtf:
Barbs up? Barbs down? I noticed each one has a "L" and "R" but the filters hit the frame when I installed them that way.

Let me know what ya think so far!

Looks great..I like what you've done with the wheels, what did you paint the motor with..??

with a frame that clean, that rear master cylinder is an eyesore. Maybe switch it for something like this?

Hutch's bike is built off of one of our standard xs rigid frames.
Coming along nicely..be sure to send me some pics before you paint it..

Engine is painted with gloss black engine enamel, the case covers, valve covers, and everything else thats black in the pictures is flat black powdercoat.

I agree the master is not the cleanest in the world, but its what Ardcore uses on their builds. The brake setup was already done, so it was convenient having all the tabs and engineering done for me.

I have to mount my electronic / battery box, weld on a tab for my chain tensioner then the frame work is done.

Figure out my rear lighting set-up, paint, powdercoat, send my seat pan to get covered, wire the bike, time the pamco, setup the keihins.

Then it should be ready for the road.

Barbs for the carb holders for the PWKs should point up and out. Love the ardcore frame.

Thanks!

Also as you can see, I'm running ardcores top fools pipes... Any idea on what jets/needle position to start with?

Damn those pipes are short! I would just start with what comes in them and check the plugs out right away. I'm assuming the pipes will be coated or covered so you don't have to worry much about bluing them from being lean while you figure out your jetting.. If you're worried about being lean, put in the one size larger main and start there.

I think that the master cylinder is fine. You just need a different reservoir like maybe the one from LC fabrication's or something like that.

Yeah.. That's probably just the start of a custom exhaust though... since is bike isn't done yet.

Finally coming together, just need the batt/elec boxes, get the seat wrapped, wire and fire.

Was gonna hack some of the fender off, but i think i like it the way it is,.

Havent decided on what to do with the tins yet, paint or powder or leave em' ....
