XS650 Bobber Build

Got my seat back from a stitcher or tailor who had to wrap it with leader,I think he did a really good job on than.And I'm looking foward to paint the frame,tank and front end matte black.

Painted the wheels
I once completly painted a pair of XJ wheels and to get the lines again had to grind them,I was a real pain in the ass so this time I have just covered them with tape and turned out to be really easier.

Is that an actual weave on the seat or is it just a pattern stamped in it? If that is an actual weave then whoever did your upholstery did an amazing job. Just SICK!!!

No,actually that is stamped but it really looks a weave because of all those stitches

Painted the frame ,tank,fenders and front end.The tank and rear fender need a good polish get get them shining.On the engine I didn`t work or paint because I`m thinking about buying this crankshaft :

The one in the engine is unbalanced and with 40.000km.
Is I sent him my old one it costs 285 Eu,if not 70 extra plus shipping 50

So,I painted the engine and wanted to start it but apparently my ATU was worn out so I'm going for a Pamco E-ignition and E-advancer.I also mounted the engine on the frame.

It`s been a while since I last posted here because waiting to get my Pamco Ignition but it`s finally here.

I have installed the kit but didn`t set the timing right since I don't have a timing light, I get one tomorrow and adjust the timing than try to get the carbs to run fine hopefully.
It started today with alot of popping and spiting with a dual output coil that has a primary resistance of 3.5 omh but by that while the engine ran, the coil got warm, is that normal?
