chop it - do they make a hard tail for one of them?

looks good man, i've always liked the street fighter look

this is pretty sharp - except for the chromed tank...

I don't think I'm going to chop it, but I'm kind of interested in doing a single sided swing arm set up. Not sure yet though. All the ones I have seen have converted to chain drive and I'm not sure if I want to do that just yet.

not sure why you'd switch to chain drive.
i've owned shafties, chain driven and belt driven, and i really like the belt drive - no chain lash and no loss of power from a shaft.

never been a big fan of the buells, but these xb12r's can be made to look pretty good

just don't do 2 things:
1) install a streched swing arm
2) strip and polish that big ass frame

Well done, If I was to buy a newer bike the Lighting would be top of my list. Very good price too. Congrats.

Good or baad depending on your point of view, there is not much to do to modify them Erik did a good job originally: Exhaust, higher handle bar, you might want to check here.

The only way you need to go with that thing is up on the back tire and keep it there as often and long as possible those things are meant to be on one tire w/ that short wheel base!!!

It has kind of an amazing brake rotor on it....

I really like the idea of an American sports bike, but I guess that make has had its day.
