Real Estate Update

My lights arrived today and I’m quite impressed with their performance, so much in fact that I ordered two more. I was mistaken on the price. I paid $45 a pair plus tax not $38.

Cruel words from mean ole @MaxPete about the new ride - shame on you. Lol 😂

What model Duc did you get - and do you have any photos?

Have you seen the Marlon Slack video "Inside the Ducati Factory"....?

Nearly two weeks work and the garage is ready for spray foam today. It will never be this empty again. Lol.

On Saturday I will be panelling the walls. Stsy tuned. I think loading back up will be s two week exercise too. Lots of new lights make it nice and bright in there. Also sticking a 42” fan at the peak of the underside of the roof to move warm air down.

All done - the foam part anyway. It was cool and damp out tonight, but with the electric heater on a low setting the whole garage was short sleeves temperature. Wall panelling Saturday. Hole in the roof is a thermostatically controlled power vent. Great for clearing smoke and fumes quickly. Was good in the summer too to

exhaust hot air but that shouldn’t be an issue now.

Nice! Insulation blankets for the doors now?
I was going to get the doors sprayed but the installer was concerned the added weight would be too much for my smaller garage door openers. I’m going to buy insulating foam sheets, cut and fit them between the ribs ( stick them on with construction adhesive?). Then I’ll probably try to fill the gaps with aerosol expanding foam. Didn’t want to do this but the worry of doors not opening and / or killing my door openers, changed my mind about the spray foam.

But…. please tell me more about insulating blankets.

I’d imagine only being 5/16” this it would have a negligible R value but the reflective layer may retain heat? Does that make any sense?
I've got similar on my door... but without the foil layer. It makes a noticeable difference.
