hi I just purchased a 1971 xs659 and if any one can pls point me in the right direction to getting this thing started it would help out I been trying everything to get it started but no success yet so pls try and school me am located in the Maryland area if any one is like cal

I looked at the wires and made sure everything was connected and put a brand new battery on bike ran before paint now I can't get spark to the spark plugs and I have gas in the carbs so am lost right now

Check your grounds. Check for volts at the coils, light brown side. Remove the points cover and watch the points for spark between the contacts while someone else kicks.

no spark at points i tried everything else by the way were do all the grounds go
