72 Cylinder

What cylinders will interchange with a 1972 XS2? Cylinder part number is 306-11311-00. I am looking for one. The 1972 XS2 I am restoring has one cylinder with some bad rust pits. They are deep. I do not think boring will clean it up.

Find any cylinder assy with one good liner (eBay?) and just swap out the liner. Cheapest way I know.

I'll go looking for it tomorrow. I remember dropping those jugs out in an oven just for fun, one piston had grenaded taking the liner with it. (the other was fine) but it's possible it got sold on at some point.

I've bought from him and he's generally accurate in his descriptions.

On certain cylinders, the hole for the alignment bushing would blow out into the liner cavity. That notch was to allow for that. Don't know if it was a certain year or batch or any particulars...
