Here's mine. It will never be 'done', but this is how it looked last summer just after finding it in a barn where it was a donor bike for 20 years, and then as of a couple months ago.
Here's my '79 Special
It sat for 30 years in the above condition. Then I found it and put it into it's current condition over the span of the last two year. Loving this bike!
Thanks Downeaster, yes paint job is a nice one. trust me the seat is comfy enough, just not when the road are bumpy and I live where the roads are a mess, so I'll seek elsewhere riding when it's out.
Dunno if it will ever be "done" - I'm always getting new ideas, mostly from this forum, but it's come a long way from the unmolested '82 Heritage Special I bought in April 2010 to the "café roadster" look today (I'm just too old to bend over a set of clip-ons required to be a "racer").
One thing that really comes through in these pic's is that the "ugly duckling" Special sure makes a great platform for the different "looks" in the "afters".
