Correct. All they need is the pistons. The critical dimension when boring cylinders out is the piston skirt clearance. The rings are then checked and adjusted based on the required ring gap. The two aren't related.He said he didn’t need the piston rings, but I was tracking those should be .002-.0022mm of clearance.
