Hi there wondering if anyone knows where I can get one or what I can do in this situation, it's looks like the carbs are missing the piece where I actuslly put the end if the cable on, it does however look like there is a part in between both carbs that have q spot for it but I have never seen a cable hooked up right in the middle

Maybe not stock carburetors for an XS650
On my 34 s it sticks out to the left .. And would not be so difficult manufacture one
Hammering / Drilling / and if a Weld in house more so
But again not obvious how it is with those carburetors

Guess it would help to know what year these motorcycle is and if these are the original carbs. Here is a picture just for fun of the left side of my 1978 showing the throttle cable attachment. Don't know about older model 650's but do recall on my early 1970's Yamaha or some other bike that I seem to recall at least one with a cable attached to the linkage in the middle between the carbs, could have been an XS400?

Well did a little digging and found my XS400 part file. In this drawing circled in red are the two points the cable attaches for that ones carb between the two. Being someone has modified the bike to remove the starter hard to be sure what else they felt the need to change!

There's no hole drilled and tapped for the idle set screw. That tells me the throttle lever is (or is supposed to be) mounted inboard on the right side of the butterfly shaft.... between the carbs.
