Not going to get into the politics of Trump. What I will say is, in your legal system you have grand juries who review evidence and make recommendations. In a State or Federal or civil trials you also have juries of your peers who listen to evidence by prosecutors and defence council and make their decision, (has to b unanimous), based on what they hear.

One of the finest top generals we have ever had Greg Norman refused an initial nda offered by Trudeau, won, sued Trudeau, and finally settled with another nda offered by Trudeau’s legal team of 30 odd lawyers purported to be in 8 figures. This was all done with taxpayers money and none of these fine military commanders in chief where found guilty! But I’ll leave it there as you seam to have a bone to chew with the unvaccinated and those that wish to enlighten us on the risks of the mRNA technology. No hard feelings just hard facts. So what benefit is a Covid vaccine?

It doesn't prevent infection.
It doesn't prevent hospitalization.
It doesn't stop transmission.

My anecdotal evidence shows vaccinated and boosted friends, got Covid, were quite sick, some sicker than myself when I (unvaxed, Type 2 diabetic, 66 years old) had it. Some of them took Paxlovid. They got better, then the sickness came back.

Common sense tells me this is NOT a pandemic of the unvaccinated.

Getting answers and information, from the likes of Brand, stops people from researching different information that might just go against what they want to hear/read.

There is absolutely no reason to answer your question because nothing I say would make any sense to you. You prove that when making your ignorant, (afraid this word is going to upset you but there is not other word to convey your lack of knowledge on this information), claim that measles, smallpox and polio can not or have not been eliminated or eradicated.

Fact. Measles has gone from 3-4 million cases per year, (in the US) to around 600 cases per year. Vaccine has been that effective, but..... And a big but. The anti vaccine stance has allowed measles to keep itself established and is making a comeback because there are so many unvaccinated.

One example, if you care to believe me. If you don't,( believe me), do some research and educate yourself before making statements without fact.

I am not an anti-vaxxer. I and my children were vaccinated for polio, MMR, etc.
I have looked at many reports and studies, discussed this with my doctor and made my decision to not get the coronavirus jab.
I just wondered what others thought the benefits were.

What statements do you think I made that are not factual?

You are correct: individula liberty so people are at liberty to walk around infecting others. Or authoritarianism, where an authority is prepared to stand up and protect people from themselves.

Are you an advocate for forced vaccination?

Are vaccinated individuals at risk from the unvaccinated?
 
In OZ, some states closed their border, in others, workers couldn't go to work, in others, people had to wear masks and keep 1.5M apart.. I'm all for these measures if it saves lives. I have no interest in killing people just so I can go out and have a cup of coffee.
Of course we have those that say covid does not exists, it's all just a plot by govts to control us: they do that by stopping us from going out and enjoying a coffee, stopping us from going to work, stopping us from getting too cose to each other so we can talk about the govt's secret agenda
I don't know of anyone who died of covid, except my sister, However, I'm pretty sure she wasn't the only person in the word who died from what the naysayers say is a BS disease.
Of course the naysayers here say the govt instructed hospitals to list all deaths as covid related. What can I say - they walk among us!

Well skull and Toglhot, France is passing a new law which will go into effect this month; if you refuse the next mRNA shot you will be liable for a fine of up to €38,000 and 3 years in jail. This kind of justifies your point of view, but I’m sure there will be a mass exodus from the country now.
 
When researching anything, it's always wise to gravitate to sites with some semblance of scientific knowledge. Unforutunatay, most quote ridicuous 'facts' they read on social media platforms, or other sites created by those with an agenda. Good examples of these ;facts' are: a chip in the vaccine for govt tracking. The govt want to depopulate the world. The govt is hiding the 'real' info from you. Vaccines were not rigorously tested. Covid vaccines affect a woman's fertility. vaccines are too new to be safe. Getting vaccinated actually gives you covid. More people die from the vaccine than covid.

Here's another tip: type 'is the covid vaccine dangerous?' in the search bar. You are sure to get answers that strengthen your beleif that the vaccine is dangerous. Its called confirmation bias.

Did the lock downs, masks and social distancing save lives? That is a much debated topic. Initially I supported the lock downs here but now wonder if they really helped.

My sincere condolences for your loss. I have not lost a family member to Covid but did lose a friends and acquaintances.

You mention a lot of wild nonsense you attribute to naysayers but I have not put forward any of those ideas

My question was are you in favor of forced vaccinations?
 
Toglhot, sorry that the virus has had such long term effects, I hope that you're on the mend and will be better with time.
As for the Vid, I knew from the beginning that in time EVERYONE would eventually contract it. To think otherwise is just ignoring the truth of the world in which we live. Lockdowns only repressed the spread and dragged it out to keep it at a more manageable level, and basically enforced a level personal responsibility which seems to be lacking in todays world.
I had the original 2 shot jab but decided that I would not have any of the boosters, just as I don't get a yearly Flu shot, which is basically what the Vid is.
It continues to mutate and like Flu will be with us for time immemorial.
After the jab I've had it twice and can say that I've had colds that were worse. Whether that can be attributed to the vaccine or some level of natural reserve I can't say. My wife chose to have none of them, she's had it twice and the first time was very hard on her, the second not so bad.
Apparently illnesses like Flu and Covid mutate so quickly that a single vaccine can't cover all the variants as the Polio and Small Pox vaccines did.
 
As it turned out it wasn't the covid that caused the problems, it was the lung cancer: I had radio therapy on my lung immediately before embarking on the cruise. Radio therapy causes scaring of the lung, thus decreasing the function of the lung. So, this will be a lifelong thing not connected to covid at all. That was my last shot at radio, can't have anymore, immunotherapy is also out due to RA.

I suffered from post lobectomy (that's LOBECTOMY not lobotomy BTW) cough after having my right lung removed, it got worse after my last lot of radio therapy, I think it was probably coincidence I was also on a cruise ship and contracted covid, anyway, the cough has finally abated after six bloody years. But walking briskly or up stairs still leaves me breathless, no escaping that I'm afraid, it's here to stay.

Fortunately, covid has mutated so many times it's no longer as deadly as it was when the Chinese inflicted it on us. But I'll continue with the jabs, even if it's only one percent successful. I'm one of the lucky ones that never suffers side effects from vaccinations, while everyone else, gets sore arms, lumps and all manner of side effects, I get nothing. I was in service for 25 years and believe me I had my share of vaccinations, not once did I suffer side effects.

When I first came down with psoriatic arthritis mutilans I was on biologic injections which I had to administer intramuscularly, never hurt, never suffered side effects or any problems, apparently I am a born pin cushion. Unfortunately, the biologics never worked, so I ceased using them and ceased seeing the rheumatologist. I'd hate to have to pay for these biologics at $1500 per Injection though.

Caught covid just as the vaccine came out. Didn't even realize I had it until I had to stop and catch my breath going up the basement stairs. Yeah, one flight of stairs and I couldn't make it up. Knew then what it was. Unfortunately that lingers. Not near as bad now, but I do get winded pretty easy. Suppose it'll be with me forever.

'course, I smoked 'till about 10yrs ago. Never was a heavy smoker, still.... also a career dealing with nasty stuff working on airplanes. An' to top that off, I'm on the Gulf War Burn Pit Registry. Lived about a year in a tent 50-75 yards or so from our burn pit. Waste jet fuel, human waste, plastic.... in the middle of the desert, was only one way to deal with the waste... burn it.

In one sense it's a wonder the lungs still work at all. On the other hand, our military could have done more to protect us. Was covid just the final straw? Didn't have problems before that, so....
 
A word on individual freedoms and authoritarianism: Thank's to what some refer to authoritarianism, I am alive to celebrate my individual freedoms.

I wonder if those averse to the vaccinations ever stop to consider whilst they have a right to refuse the vaccination, then it follows I have right to be protected from them. Nah, never, their rights overshadow mine!

About long COVID. I recovered from it pretty quickly but fatigue lingered. I was very tired right out of the bed in the mornings. I had been taking karate for a few months and didn't feel well enough to go to practice. Finally after a week and a half Id had enough and decided to go and try and get through a practice session. After that my fatigue was gone as though I had pushed through a barrier of sorts. I know strenuous exercise is not an option for everyone but it worked for me.
I support everyone's right to decide on what does or does not go in their bodies.
