XS650 Addict
So I have been thinking about a Springer for my bike and have read a lot of posts about adapting the bearings and needing the wheel and brakes. Right now I have a 1973 tx650 which I guess has a shorter than later models neck. I want front brakes and would like to run a small speedo.
I am curious to hear from experience what all is really needed and what the real costs could be?
It looks like you can get a dna that is advertised for an xs650 with bearings kit for about $550. Then you need a rim, brake rotor, caliper, brake hose, master cylinder, and whatever is needed to run a speedo.
It seems like it could really be expensive or almost as much as the rest of the entire bike.
What is the real deal on going to a springer?
