Gear actuation

Anybody got tips on adjusting the clutch? Having trouble getting it to run through the gears.
Does the bike need to be rolling to run thru each gear? I'm just sitting in the shop w/ the clutch lever pulled in trying to go thru the shift pattern...

Running? That's progress
I may be biased but what you describe is normal behavior without forward motion the tranny will not be all that anxious to shift. Specially if the clutch has not been exercised for quite some time................

Thanks, Gary! Fired her for the first time this AM. Briefly, cause she's LOUD with the pipes I made. I'm off work tomorrow, so I'll play more and maybe get a spin around the block in!
