Finally making some headway with this project... got the frame modified for rear disc brake, started the teardown of the engine.PART_1535757806727.jpg PART_1546310251390.jpg PART_1546310278088.jpg

now, I have a conundrum... what color to paint the frame? I'm sticking with black and gold, as I've always had a soft spot for the Midnight Specials and the John Player Special livery. Do I go traditional black, or paint the frame gold? I'm keeping the fork lowers black, and blacking out the engine, including the side covers. I think a gold frame would make the engine 'pop' more, but not sure if it would make the bike look awkward. What are your thoughts?

Well, I guess its about time I get back to work on this... :)
Spent the last year helping care for my inlaws. Last Feb, my MIL was diag'd with terminal cancer. My FIL already has Parkinson's, and she was his caregiver. They lived in NC (Browns Summit), so I spent a lot of time commuting from north east MD every weekend, until we were able to move them in with us last April. She passed away peacefully in Sept, at home with all of us. The rest of us have finally found a daily rhythm, and I'm slowly returning to my projects. I hope to be posting some progress in the coming weeks/months.
