New clutch cable without elbow

Hello all,

I ordered a new clutch cable from 650central since I am running drag bars. After opening the package I realized that it does not come with that elbow which holds the cable at the left side case. Can I install the cable without this elbow?

I have attempted an install the cable but I can't adjust the clutch properly. Here is how I know:

I put the bike on the centerstand, start it up and the put it in 1st gear with the clutch puilled in. When I apply the rear brake with the clutch lever still pulled tight the bike dies.

I am very familiar with adjusting the clutch but I can't figure out what is going on. I suspect it is the elbow/

Adam, I'm using the 650 Central clutch cable without the elbow. It works well with no problems. But I did have to totally readjust the clutch at both perch and worm gear a couple times before things got cool.

Ok. Thanks for the reply. I have done all I can to get this clutch working. I feel like when I pull the lever the worm gear is simply not travelling far enough.
