I have a bad habit of having derelict old Japanese motorcycles following me home.
I meet a lot of people as a trainer in the Pipeline Industry and always turn the conversations to old bikes.
It is cool what you come across sometimes
I was training a new hire a couple of weeks ago and the guy said he had bought an old bike about 5 years previously and was planning to build a custom bike.
Thankfully he lost interest before he got started.
It was mine for the asking.
It is complete and has 13000 miles on the clock and free!
The engine is not stuck and turns over with good compression.
I have tucked it in the shop with the other completed projects and will start in Sept when I am back from vacation.
I have just completed a 1975 GL1000 and have also a 76 KZ900 and a 74 CB750 that i am still busy with.
The plan is to restore it to its original condition.
I have a long Canadian winter ahead of me.
First post and I look forward to using and contributing to this forum.
