Rear Suspension ala 1959 BMW

Has anyone tried a plunger type rear suspension similar to a 1959-ish BMW R50?
Read an article in this month's Motorcycle Classics magazine and thought it looked doable to try and get a bober look but keep a rear suspension and two up riding. Or at least a more comfortable p-pad ride.

Back in the early 80's I had a /2 R-69. Nice ride it had. It had that ridgid turned swingarm look. Wasn't fast but it would putt all day, all night. Kick only. Still got some scars from that alloy cast kicker sliding along the front of my shin.OUCH!!

azman, I still have a scarred area on my right shin from a "disagreement" with a Honda Trail 70 when I was 4, and that was almost 34 years ago.

As far as the suspension this is more of that I had in mind. More of a "captured" spring and shock.
