is it ok to weld on the frame with the motor installed??

also can you ho,d the item your welding with your hands or will it shock you??

NNooobbb wuestions thanks

When welding OR grinding cover any motor openings so no metal gets in. If you have TCI ignition unplug it from the harness. no the items should not shock you, good rubber soled shoes are a good idea. Some times ground on the welder can be different enough from the GROUND to give a healthy jolt. It shouldn't be that way but I have seen it in action.

hello gggary.

Thnaks.. for the input and the parts.. hope to see them soon going to bull motor and start the engine build next week. just waiting on some parts for the foot controls. so I can mak the last welds.

I usually weld with the motor in the frame too much of a pain in the ass to take it out. cover all openings if you dont want liquid metal in them, also be careful not to burn any rubber parts. common sense shit

Make sure your earth clamp is installed as close to the point of work (where you are welding) as possible, as electricity will always take the shortest route & you don't want it earthing through your motor.
