Took mine for a short test spin this afternoon after rebuilding the run-stop switch, installing new plugs and plug wires and re-installing the original TCI system last month in an effort to fix the highly annoying, intermittent "engine quits" that I experienced last summer - it ran very well for the 10 miles or so that I rode but needs a longer outing. Strangely, the run-stop switch was missing one of the tiny springs under the arc-shaped copper contact plate - can't remember if I had ever taken it apart before and maybe lost the spring without knowing it at the time, but GGG fixed me up with a salvage RH control that still had both its springs. Also had to replace a broken starter button - went with one of Kibokojoe's aluminum ones. When I checked full-advance timing, I found that I had to extend the slot I had filed some years ago in the TCI pickup mounting tab to get more retard to keep full advance limited to 40 deg BTDC. Only explanation I can think of is that the Racetech rotor I installed a couple years ago does not have correct angular separation between its keyway and magnet - seems to be off about 4 degrees or so, advanced. At the time I first installed the Racetech, I did a TDC check and found I had to move my timing tab about that much to align it with the rotor mark at true TDC. Buyer beware!
