Ditto! At least the rain is washing all the salt off the roads. But in a few days, forecast to turn cold again . . .
Right now at 9:58 AM in Syracuse NY it's 50ºF. Not wanting to be bitching but why was I so motivated a couple weeks ago to be sure I had two good running snowblowers ready to go?
I have just shy of five acres of land and I can only see enough snow to make one lousy snow ball. And if I wait a few minutes that will be gone! Mondays high will be all of 25ºF then by Wednesday it will be mid 40's again!

My folks lived in Pocatello for years, I went to visit them in January once, I stayed there a couple weeks and took ski trips from their location. It never got above 20 below zero the entire time I was there!
Flying in from Phoenix and 55 degrees, I was woefully unprepared for that kind of cold, I damned near froze to death!
A new (first) for me today; the polar bear run was postponed because of the rain?!? The temperature was in the high 40s this morning and is now in the high 50s. I guess I missed the purpose of riding on the first day of the new year...

Days of rain just passed, today it’s clear and windy and cold. Got a freeze warning here for tonight, we don’t get many of them over the winter. We will have to go out and cover a lot of our desert landscape plants that are frost tender.
