Yesterday was the very first time I heard of or had a bike with CHIRPING CARBS lol
Never seen it in all the bikes I built or motors that I did. I learned something new HAHA
Can teach a old dog new tricks. Maybe I never seen it or heard it before was because I always did my own carbs over or if busy sent them out to be rebuilt or I just had new ones on bike. I just had a bike that the guy had problems with after buying it and we upgraded a couple things and added a PAMCO because the old points just had it and I finished it up rode it around and boy was it a quick bastard . Ever once in a while you get one that just impresses the hell out of you. Well new rider and new to the XS 650 family and bang this noise that sounded like a cam chain running against metal started . I was ready to tear motor apart but he found some info on chriping carbs and that was the noise. So now easy fix for him and bike back on the road again. So I did see a video but anyone have any other info on this problem and if it effects other carbs. I am interested on reading more about it and what you did to correct it if you had it and is this something that returns over and over because of worn or bad plates and screws.
