Could order either. Its really up to you. 3" drop is gonna have a noticeable impact on your ride. You'll remove about half your travel. Cutting 3 inches of the springs will increase the spring rate. 1" won't have as much impact but probably won't give you the look you want. You can also drop the bike about an inch with an aftermarket billet crown. Perhaps a 2" spacer is a happy medium. Down the line you could contact Racetech and get some new springs made instead of using hacked up 40 year old battlers. Tell them you have spacers and the length, and they will make you a custom spring with an appropriate spring rate.
If this helps, probably 3" drop on the black and white one, & 2" on the red one. These are both Hugh's bikes so you know that's the spacer you would get.
