Yesterday I adjusted my cam chain and synced my carbs. I also slightly lowered my front tire air pressure. My XS650 has no vibration at all now. I can't believe how much of a difference it made.

I believe I went from 32 to 28PSI.What did you lower it too? Maybe something of interest for someone to look at???
Thank you.
Hey that was me and they are good crush washer
Did the same for Canadian currency and was surprised with the great value these have in Australia. The bike looks like it will clean up nicely without too much work. Congratulations!Wow, I just had to do a dollar conversion to compare. Didn’t realize exactly how much more value these bikes held down under.
Since you asked, gloss black.I can't decide on the color. I'm between Kubota orange-ish and Machine grey or satin black.
I sand blasted my side panels to prepare for painting. I can't decide on the color. I'm between Kubota orange-ish and Machine grey or satin black.

Can anyone tell me why one exhaust valve cover has 3 bolts and the other has 4? My OCD is starting to itch.
Thanks, that’s gonna help me sleep now.XS-1 and 1B were kick start only and had 3 hole covers. They added electric start in 72... the XS-2. Because they felt the starter needed help, they put a compression release on the left exhaust valve. That was the first 4 hole cover.
Later.... 75 I think, they deleted the compression release as it wasn't needed. They never retooled the the castings though... and left the 4 hole on all subsequent models.
