After asking a ton of questions, and everybody always willing to answer and help, heres mine so far, the questions wont stop though... Just letting u all know.
the final rake would be i have no idea i just cut and welded were i though it felt and looked good, i would say between 35 and 40, i know its not the proper thing to do, i shouldve measured but i didnt have anything to measure it with
no i didnt have the motor case bolted in when i welded it, but i set it in after i got it spot welded(cant think of the term right now) in. It fit pretty good, everything lined up.
Things can move from the final welding even when everything was right when it was tacked. Hope it all lines up for you now after the final welding. If not, it's not he end of the world, you'll just have to make it right or make a couple of new engine mounts. Good start on the project though.
sure no prob, but i actually got the idea from this guy http://www.xs650.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3380, really comfortable too, i made all my stuff out of scrap metal from the local steel center, and im prolly 92% sure that my welds will hold hopefully
