XS6502F / XS650SK mash up?

There will be something hanging off the bottom of the battery box, either the TCI black box or the voltage rectifier. As long as you clear that, you should be fine.
Thank you! Everything should fall in place as it does on the '83, since that is the battery box and wiring I intend to use.

Freshly painted tins should provide some motivation.

That blue grew on me a little over time, but was still kinda sketchy about how it would look on the bike. I'm sold now... looks great!!
... also like the black covers. Has a bit of a Bonnie vibe to it.
... now get back to work.

I wanted color and I wanted something subtle. That color is very attractive to me. I have a friend who deals paint in Alabama and IIRC, he quoted me $60 for a pint of Calvary Blue (Toyota). It only goes up from there. Add to that, most shops don't want to do a little job like mine as it's too much work for too little money. End of story is that it can be very expensive. I expect it's the same story in Sweden. You need someone specializing in small jobs.

A bolt-on tab for the flasher unit mounting is certainly an option, you have that extra coil mounting area now. In fact, you could cut the original off and bolt it there.
I have the '83 battery box going on and all of the '83 electrical/wiring. I don't recall where the flasher is mounted. It never failed on the other bike.

This picture in the IPC is deceptive, as it appears #1 and #12 (flasher and canceller) are mounted on the battery box.

As @650Skull posted, my SK has the flasher and canceller on either side of the coil.

I assume that if I'm not going to have a self cancel with the turn signals, I won't require the canceller unit. That will leave the tab forward of the coil for the no load flasher, or so I believe. I may bend the flasher tab out of the way rather than cut it off. I haven't quite decided.

I still think this is the best spot for the keyed switch.
