750 kit Valve adjustment spacing

Hey Everyone.
I promise I searched far and low on google and this forum for an answer but I cant seem to find one.

With the xs750 kit from mike's, what do you set the intake and exhaust valves at for the spacing?
Anything special to look out for?

Any advice here is greatly appreciated.

Valve adjustment is set to your cam spec.

Adding the 750 kit does not effect the valve clearance. If you use a stock cam use stock spec's, If you use an aftermarket cam use the spec's recommended by the cam maker. Just noticed you have just 2 post's so I will say Welcome to the board.

Use the XS650 Tech menu and find the valve adjustment post. It has the clearances for different years.

My 78 for instance is .004th intake and .006th exhaust.

Cylinder size doesn't matter, 650 or 750 etc.

Most cam companies suggest using manufactures specs.

Hey guys, thanks for the welcome.

Well, I appreciate the help. The 750 Kit was done by the P.O., and i have no idea if they replaced the Cam or not. I have been going off the valve adjustment post as well as the amazing youtube videos from theXStwin (littlebill31) on here.
I will try to set them to the spec stats. Thanks for the info about aftermarket cams saying to set to spec. I was about to lose it.
